About
A Travel Nurse with an appetite for adventure
My name is Christa. I am a Critical Care Registered Nurse and I have been travel nursing since 2018. I am also a health coach, a daughter, aunt, sister, and if you’re wondering a Greek Blactina.
I grew up in Florida in a small greek town where my entire life bubble was greek. Greek school, Greek church, Greek dancing and every summer we’d travel to Greece to visit my mother’s family. My mom is one of 19 children so my big fat greek family, is an understatement. The first time I traveled “solo” was when I was 12 and I told my Mom I’d rather go to Greece alone than not go at all.
I moved to Miami after high school, where I worked in restaurants to put myself through school. I fell in love, got engaged and realized it was not going to be a fairy tale ending. In debt and deeply dissatisfied with my life I almost believed someone when they told me they “didn’t see any hope” for me. At the age of 25 I broke off my engagement, packed up a few (really heavy) suitcases and headed off to NYC for my first travel nursing contract. The rest is history.
Since 2018 I have taken over 10 travel nursing contracts in cities like New York City, Los Angeles and Seattle. Traveling became the nature of my job and has since become the nature of my life.
When I am not working I am either exercising, doing yoga, cooking, reading or exploring nature and the endless beauty this earth has to share with us. As a natural born healer I firmly believe that nature heals, and that we, as a part of nature, have the innate ability to heal ourselves.
Thank you for joining me on this journey of healing through travel and exploration
